standard boost? Tubro Choice? VF8/VF10/TD04?

Yeah it's boosting only 7PSI at the moment (due to current setup)

What rpm range should the turbo start kicking in?

yup and i know why that is, its because the pipe is going straight from turbo to wastegate (which will have 7PSI spring/membrane)

Yeah I've still got to plumb up the factory boost control, I've just left the setup remain from previous owners while i fix the rest of the mistakes

ok so i hooked mine up today and it has some interesting effect, none if which i was expecting...

Firstly in low gears to would boost up to 15psi (then boost cut occur's) and if i put my foot down it would go over factory 9/10PSI and just contnue to climb (i'd assume really high but i stopped before it got the chance), if i slowly speed up it would hold at 9PSI (like it should)

Any idea guys? do i need to use special sized pipes? is there something in the pipes? if so what and what pipe(s)? i'm lost for idea now, i could just take it down to Armstrong Subaru and get them to have a lot at it but i'd rather try myself first (with some input)

Now i have 3 turbo sitting on my desk and i have no idea what to choose, trying looking up spec and information but no real help

I've got a 92 GT wagon, I'm not looking for huge amounts of power (not yet anyways) but after something that will give a decent amount of boost, bee reliable enough. Mostly just use the car in the weekends to travel to sport and cruise a bit.

At the moment I've got the TD04 in as this is what i got the car with. but it seeming a little tired so buying my mates so i'll have 3 mint turbo to choose from. so the question is which one for me?

TD04

VF8

VF10?

after i make up my mind the other turbo's will be used for my project cars :) exhaust setup is WRX headers and 3" from turbo back

if anyone know a good link to read with spec for them that would be great, found some hear say but nothing factual

Fact;

IHI VF10 = GT automatic

VF8 = RS/RS type R/RS type RA

VF12 = AUSDM fitted Liberty RS Turbo

i find this strange as I have owned two rs legacys (one current) and both had the vf10 on them, also have a friend who has owned a couple and both his also had the vf10, yet the two gt legacys I have owned (one auto, one manual) have both had vf8 turbos on them?

They have been around for 20 years now, don't you think that during this time they would have failed and been swapped.

As knowledge on these car was thin on the ground people would have just swapped them around.

Don't take my word for it; use google.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
