Good driving roads near christchurch?

does any1 know of any good driving roads near christchurch? this has NOTHING to do with street racing or anything like that! me n my mates usually go driving in the weekend, we try to find exciting and fun roads that has twisty bends, fast straights, etc... just want to know if anyone knows of any good roads nearby. (kinda like what top gear did when they went to switzerland!)

Lots of good roads round banks peninsula/port hills. just go on a driving mission.

yea something like that. ideally if someone that knows the area well can maybe organize a group cruise or something similar then that would be cool! 8)

Back roads thru loburn to oxford isnt too bad , has some nice corners.

The port hills is half open.. the road to sumner is closed but going stright over the top is still all good if not a little bumpy i went up over there last week still plenty of little paths/ tracks to be enjoyed

Im fairly new on here but i will set up a new post for a small chch cruise let me know if your interested 8)

just come back from Akaroa today, the roads are undamaged and have the nice tight bits and straights. ~150km return trip
