Fastest compliance in CHCH?

Apparently alot of these centers have regular customers ie car dealers and the compliance centers will do the car dealers cars first once the boat arrives.

Anyone know a compliance center that I could book car in with once its off the boat where I dont have to wait ages?

there is one near the airport that lest you do the stripping, they just check the bits as you go

lol! they have to check seatbelt anchorages/check for rust or structural damage or repairs so a fair bit of interior gets removed and replaced during the process.Vehicle Safety Systems on Durham street is a good place.the AA inspectors are the ones that check it over and give it a wof on site

I watched a car being complied at VTNZ in wanganui while i was waiting for a COF,they had door surrounds off checking the spot welds,all wheels of checking suspension and brakes,most of the inside was stripped checking for damage and seatbelt anchorages, looks fairly comprehensive and the guy was marking every thing he checked with a felt tip

Youd hope they do a decent job of clipping everything back in or they just turn your car into a rattler.

Heard good things about Vehicle Safety Systems - haven't used them myself

We are going to go with the AA when we get back in Aug... The internets says they are one stop shop and therefor easier...

Plus my GTB was complied via AA and that has saved me a few WOF issues...

I've used Magnum compliance a few times and they've always been pretty quick. Don't be a pain in the arse and ring them everyday and you'll get through quicker.

I go to magnum compliance myself.

And they take the safety flares out of the passenger footwell.

fresh imports have red safety flares in a holder in the passengers footwell. they are illegal in nz.they also have an expiry date .these flares are supposed to be removed during the compliance process.

Thats what those 2 bracket things are in the passenger footwell.

Get the compliance centre to do the stripping... they do it all the time and generally know how not to break the trim clips...Plus they will have them to replace any they do!
