6x9s in a bugeye version sedan?

Has anyone got 6x9s installed in their bugeye version sedan up by the back window (dunno what that areas called)???? i just went to go ask how much it would cost to get them installed and he told me they wouldnt fit!.

So im wondering if anyone else has them istalled in their car? And if so where abouts did they get it done (im in the Lowerr Hutt area) and what it cost.

They fit you just need spacers for the 6x9s made out of mdf. I got mine done in Auckland for 80 bucks including spacers and having them disconect the rear door speakers and run wiring to the boot for the 6x9s, made a good difference to.

Yip, if you haven't already fitted them; flick them on trademe.

Kids, say no to 6x9 speakers!

If you insist on having rears - stick with OEM sized 6-6.5" speakers.

rears in a foz are 4inch... *shrugs* but i run a sub... hahaha pain in the ass trying to transport anything though.

you can buy plastic spacers for like $50

you should be able to get 5.25" speakers in the hole

Im getting some component speakers installed in the front doors anyway, does anyone know good place/good price to get them put in?

u supplied the 6x9 and they did all the fitting etc?

not bad price bro..

i did it to my blue one.. was not too bad - need the spacers and no need to cut the metal as they have holes in back..

if u dont plan to have sub, the 6x9 sounds good enough...

remove back seat and makes life easier bro

You're local to Wellington right? I don't mind doing it, if you supply the speakers and such, as long as my calendar allows. Or if you want recommendations for speakers, we can have a chat on MSN or facebook or something. Have done many other installs in my years of audio s***. Otherwise if you want a shop to do it, take it to Streetsoundz.

Just saw your message and just got them done!!! but ohwell its done now sounds alot better. Cost me 150 though, would rather have gotten you to do would have given yah a box of mangatainokas finest 8)

Yeah that's pretty much the easiest way to do it. Then just gotta screw them to the parcel tray / metal of the car and they'll be sweet.
