EBC on a 2000 RSK B4

Hi everyone!

I'm just wondering has anyone fitted a HKS EVC4 (EVC5 in US market) to a TT RSK B4?

I have managed to get the controller installed, but it does not pass 10 psi even after the second turbo kicked in.

Can anyone please share some experiences?

Print out the manual, and set it up right. Then report back here with your findings

It could be that it doesn't do sequential boost control... my HKS EVC3 certainly does not, i have no reason to believe an EVC4 would.

If you find it doesn't do sequential control, you're poked, chuck it up on trademe. I know of few that do, but there are plenty out there. The only one i have really heard about is the Apexi AVC-R, i think it does boost control based on RPM.

went through the manual several times... the only setting I haven't tried is the offset ... but does not seem like EVC4 can do sequential control... I think I'll trademe this and go for a AVC-R...

The AVC-R will help as a sequential controller right? And a boost controller for the boost? I could be wrong mind

from my understanding, AVC-R is a boost controller, but it has the ability to set different boost level at different rpm... for example, 2500 ~ 4500rpm = 10psi, 4500~7500rpm = 15psi... this should work with the TT setup on Legacy...

Yeah, never heard of the AVC-R playing as a sequential controller i'm affraid. It does have some neat features though from what i can tell.

Does anyone know of any other boost controllers that can do sequential twin turbo boost control?

HDI do a electronic boost controller that they say are suitable for Legacy TT's. Not sure how these ones work but you can have a look on their site http://www.hybrid-power.com/index.php. Theres a guy on trademe from auz that sells them.

10psi sounds like wastegate pressure ie not workign at all or you may have ports around wrong way on solenoid (3port?)
