Dropped plastic cap into engine bay!!

hey guys been awhile since I posted in here

Anywayz i was just topping up the oil in my car & accidentally knocked the bottle cap into the engine bay. It went somewhere between the radiator & a thick metal tube which was parallel to the radiator which i think is part of the exhaust.

I tried getting it out with a stick but have pushed it somewhere & now i cant see it.

Just wondering would this cause any damage cos I'm sure anything plastic will melt around that area of the engine bay. Should I be worried?

Drive over some speed bumps and it might fall out.

Its probably sitting on the undercarrige protector/splitter thing.

Should be fine as long as its not lodged in the radiator shroud. Pop the lower engine cover off if your worried about it, it will most likely sitting on there. Its held on by 4 bolts underneath and 1 screw in each the wheel well.

+1 pull it off and see, maybe even just the back two and you may get at it...

You'd find out soon enough if it were in the fans

dropped an 8mm spanner down between turbo and heatshield once, took ages to get the thing out! :-[ Managed to poke and wiggle it with a long piece of wire until it dropped out the bottom.

hope its not between the exhaust and the xmember

Yeah managed to drop the oil filler cap down there once, had to pull the sump guard off in the petrol station forecourt to get it out!

Only just found one of the knuckles (which was shaved off my manifold) about 15 months after the mods was done. Who knows where that was sitting

I found a spanner sitting on top of my heads right next to the injectors... fuck knows how it got there or how long it had been there...
