Hey guys

What should i expect to see as my avg fuel consumption for a 92 gt legacy?/how many k's should a tank get me? i know where are a few factors that change how the equation works out but I'm just after a rough estimate...

Cheers for any help in advance

yeah so mines is way down low then, i know if i boost it lots then of course it will chew up the gas, but i haven't this tank so its what has surprised me (unless the fuel gauge is broken)

Righto time to find out the problem

I've just replaced the spark plugs

Clean 02 Sensor

Ran Upper engine Cleaner (Great stuff)

Changed AFM

Injector cleaner through fuel

Possible things that i haven't checked / replaced that could be causing this ???

Is there anyone in wellington that i can borrow like a air/fuel mixture thingy off them to check it out?

my 97 gtb so far got a best of like 27mpg and thats using the secondary turbo on occasion which really makes it chew the gas.with a full carload and boot completely full it will only do 23mpg tho which really sux lol. most kms ive got out of a tank is like 500 but i do mostly town driving atm-takes me half a tank to get from cromwell to invercargill which is a 2 and a half hr drive

You been using 95? if so:

Reset your ECU, and only run 98. You should always only run 98.

Nope running 98 Only but have only switched over recently(2-3 tanks fulls) {hence why I'm worried about fuel consumption... costing lots to fill}, pretty sure the ECU has been reset as car was left without bat for a couple of nights before my alarm installation

Bugger.

What i'd do personally is reset the ECU, and record your gas consumption properly. That is, fill to the brim, reset the trip meter, then when you next go to the petrol station, fill up to the brim again, and record the distance. The pump will tell you how many liters you used.

Yeah i reset the trip meter every time i fill up, might start keeping a log book.. ahaha

to reset the ECU i connect black and green plugs and drive above 11KM till check engine light is flashing constantly right?

Yep, that's one way. Disconnecting the battery for a while also works, but that resets my radio and boost controller too, and sets off the battery back up alarm...

Sweet will try it out and see how it goes, here is hoping...

I once got lost traveling from Bluff to Dunedin at night in my 99 gtb, when conveniently there are no gas stations open, and ended up traveling 350 - 400 km on under half a tank. The fuel light came on just as i reached Dunedin

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
