Need to change my up pipe

My up pipe is leaking mechanic said it was cracked bad, and other than making a terrible noise i think its my boost cut problems as well.

Anyone that wants to do a cashie or help me out with it? or can name a shop that will do it for a good price?

Have a crack at it yourself matey, trawl through the threads and jump on you tube for info. It's reasonably easy, just takes a bit of research to save yourself some time. And the satisfaction from doing things yourself is addictive. And you cant really screw it up too badly. ;D

It's a bit of a sh!t of a job if your exhaust has never been off the turbo as the bolts will be tighter than a (insert something awful here)

A rattle-gun and some proper swivel-sockets makes it a lot easier. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the downpipe has to come off to get at the up-pipe bolts?

top mount will also have to be removed.

once youve got the down pipe and turbo out of the way it will be easy peasy. WD40 or CRC the SHIT out of the bolts and let it sit for 15 min!!!!!!

+1 for the WD40 treatment. Once you get the top mount off and the bolts are loosened, the next hardest thing i found was the 02 sensor, but again the wd40 treatment should be fine. Don't forget to unbolt the drivers side engine mount and jack the engine up slightly. This will help to give you space to pull the up-pipe out. Apart from that it's all good. ;D

Hmm yeah its past me and the room I have. To get the job done at a shop or with help am I best just to go front mount? Won't that replace the pipe at the same time?

Theres no need to go front mount at the same time - and that adds like of pissing round modifying your bumper.

front mount doesnt replace the pipe you are after.

my mate took her car to maidstone muffers said they replaced it with a brandnew one but turned out they just welded the cracked together and charged her $400 for the uppipe and 100 something for the labour

OP have a look at this diagram... you will see the UP-PIPE pointing to the pipe you need to replace.... although yours will not have a cat converter in it. hope this helps

Ah I c. Shhheeet now I need to confirm it is the up pipe that is stuffed lol. Fuckytown. Its a bit more than I canmanage atm
