Silencer Needed

Car is due for a warrent so sometime next week please. I will find out the diameter of the tip.

it pretty sure my ones 5 or 6 inch. its from a 3" inlet rage muffler.

steel wool and chicken mesh ftw . jam a bit of steel wool up the pipe held in with rolled up chicken mesh .

vtnz didn't even pick it up when i was getting the green sticker taken off my car

if the silencer isnt welded in they'll still fail you

or you can get a 3rd flange for one of your joins and weld a very small diameter pipe inside it, when it come to wof time you slide it inside your exhaust and bolt it back up. you now have an internal baffle that will cut the noise right down. harder to spot than a removable silencer

oooo i like that idea like a solid gasket with a smaller hole. good thinking batman

Works better with a short length of small diameter tube welded into the baffle plate. Did the plate with one hole, then a few small holes to a workmates RX2 and it barely cuts down on noise but kills any power that it could ever make. He ended up welding a foot of 1.5" pipe to it and that made it quiet enough (and also killed any thoughts of making any power at all).

Are resonators restrictive?

My cars way to loud for my daily but I dont want any performance loss.

if they are it wont be much, they have small triangle bits that stick up about 10mm that sort of divert/catch the gas along the outside wall

Exhaust tip is approx 110mm inside diameter. So really after a silencer for a 4" tip.
