Personal I would try to get a genuine one.. the last thing you want is a leaking BOV. You can get a good secondhand genuine HKS SSQV for less than that if you keep a look out for them.

I just had a lil boost and for 10 seconds check engine light came on then went away never happend b4 ?? Ignore or get it checkd?

Check the code yourself to see what it is and then go from there.

To diagnose yor CEL read this http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,67.0.html

to show up a code though - you need to go under your dash just under the steering wheel and you will see to plugs 1x Black and 1x Green connect these two together and go for a drive for about 1 min and the CEL light on the dash should flash a code which you can use against the table in the thread above

Definatly get it checked, could be something minor or could be airflow meter, or coils. How many k's has it done? As long as you keep it well serviced and look after it they arn't a bad car the VOD can be a bit annoying at time but comes as part of the package really.

Turns out it was knock sensor cars only done 88,000 getting it done now lol

New sensor comes in on monday so guess shuldnt drive as much till its replaced?

should be ok unless there is actually knock going on, you will notice a higher fuel consumption though.

Nice B4 you picked up there, I think you made the right choice going for the Twin Turbo instead of Non Turbo.

hi how does the alarm turbo timer work?? if i get them separately do i tell the electrician to connect them up so i can lock the doors while turbo timer is running?

If your going to get an alarm and a turbo timer go to a car alarm specialist and when you buy an alarm from them ask them to install an inbuilt turbo timer at the same time

otherwise - what you say would work I would think
