Um now Im staying somewhere in or near upper hutt I think, at my mates place as his gf's mate isn't staying there anymore....will confirm where when I land 2moro. My number is 021973397 as ill prob need a ride in if it isnt too much of a hassle.

We had about 17-18 at La Porchetta in Papanui; not bad for late, last minute notice in venue!

Actually; speaking of La Porchetta - is there one in Wellington? I've only been to the Akl (Hobson St) and Chch ones.

Pizza wasn't bad too! Well the bit of San's that I tried was nice.

The Mrs stayed in town for a few drinks so I was at home looking after the boy. Maybe next time, it should be tuned by then too

La Porchetta was slightly cheaper! I think I spent $12-15? And they have beer. I noticed everyone was drinking Corona - still better than Tui, I guess!

Yep went there for brunch. good but not cheap. huge central bar table would be big enough

We went to Joe's garage in christchurch during megameet, great food although I think they overdid the salt in the pork belly. Tasted like 5% salt I swear.

I did enjoy art of pizza, you did get a decent amount of pizza for your $$$ (toppings etc) although I will agree that the drinks were too spency for my liking.

After spending two weeks drinking at the Sergeants mess in Woodbourne ($2.5 - $4 drinks); any bar outside of a defence base is expensive.

For example; The Secret Garden in Blenheim $10 pints - good beer though. Moa, 8 Wired, Three Boys, Renaissance.

I just noticed Kereru Brewing is based in Silverstream; will need to investigate... Smaller places tend to do better beer!
