How many people have monkeyed with this car now? It sounds like it\'s the collaborative shot-in-the-dark work of about 15 different people and at least 1 internet forum.

Find 1 reputable mechanic and keep taking it to him until he fixes it.

Seriously though. It\'s been to what, like 7 different garages? And apparently had a dyno run and what sounds like a re-tune, all while it apparently was running kinda wrong... I mean nothing wrong with going somewhere else when the guys have no idea but it sounds like you\'re fighting a bit of an uphill battle with it.

its been to some dork in ashburton that apparently builds racecars, wouldnt take it back to him, he wouldnt know shit apparently.

Its been to armstrongs, there were equally as useless, $380 to find nothing wrong *bullshit, there\'s something wrong*

Its been to rapid performance in timaru, they replaced maf and re-tuned, and it went fine, for a bit. now has a CEL, perhaps just finally coming through from whatever sensor has failed, its going back to them tomorrow.

The clutch was done by the guy in ashvegas, always felt strange, but didnt slip.

So not quite 7 and it is going back to the garage that does know. :)

mmmmmmmmmmmk so

Scanned for codes, no codes present, light still on, cleared codes, light STILL on.

They started a couple times, light went off. Went for a drive, light stayed off, Driving home, light comes on.. F**K!

Looked at function of O2 sensor, it was flat, no matter what we did with throttle, conclusion, o2 sensor is tripping the ECU.

Really pisses me off, cause i dont want to spend $600 on a new one, and it was replaced with one literally 1 day before i got the car, but it was from the states on ebay, $600ish in NZ, $180 from the US, doesnt that sound chinese?

Anyway, when it goes back in on next thursday for the clutch adjustment there going to check the o2 sensor thoroughly, and if it needs replaced, hopefully get a Bosch equivalent or something for cheaper than the oem.

Anyone know about cheaper ones than the oem that are reliable?

Lol dodgy! No we don\'t need anymore dodgy Subarus out there. It gives us guys a bad name and also screws with some good guys out there that spend their hard earned money.

I\'d love a new original car but who\'s to say you\'re not inheriting someone else\'s problems

Good they will sort the clutch out. Sucks about the o2 sensor but least its isolated to two things

If its the front one its not 02...that could be the problem...There are 02 sensors which are narrowband and air/fuel which are wideband. Big price difference but you actually need the right one to do the job or you may as well not have one at all.

yep as above

there is a front one and a rear one

both are different

which sensor code did it come with?

im gona guess rear lol (its cheaper anyway so hoping its that)

find out what exact code it is bro

if u were in ALK i could have given a hand

but anyway have seen a few cars with o2 sensor issues and different fixes depending on what the issue if

anyway yea start off with what exact code and if is it onoly 1 code or more?

what do the fuel trims look like and any long term knock?

ok problem is ecu didn\'t have a code just cel light on. but looked at voltage of front o2 the one off the headers (it\'s the replaced one) and it\'s flat no change no matter what. it\'s the one that is behind the right hand wheel arch.

also to be very specific the cel comes on at the exact same point in my drive home from work and then stays on. went away when scanned by rapid but they couldn\'t pull a code. but I read that it could be because they were selecting a model to scan and they should try the generic obd2 scan. when it comes on I\'m cruising and haven\'t flogged it at all. if I thrash it I haven\'t had a cel. so this also leads me to o2 purely cause I\'m cruising. agreed?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
