Just took my type r to winger

hey guys i just got my clutch bled and had a coolant hose coming off the waterpump replaced..the car seems good except after 2mins of driving i noticed the check engine light came off and on a few times .it dissapeared after a few minutes..does anyone have a clue what could be up.or is that normal after u remove the tps..i think they removed tht to get to bleed clutch so maybe a funny wire?.cheers guys

Have you checked the CEL code to find out what the ECU is complaining about? :-\

gotta give them a chance to rectify the fault before doing anything. These things happen don\'t stress to much but check the code an report back an get back there asap

hey the code isnt showing up anymore so i guess it allgood for now.but dont think ill ever return there.way over priced.got them to change a hose coming of waterpump cost me $130..it took him 1.5 hours..i would of did it myself if i knew they wer gona charge thru the roof

Thats cheap for 1.5 hours genuine normally charge 120-130 per hour. Think Ive got a winger invoice at $130p/h from last year just before I bought wrx.

If its something simple do it yourself good experience.

ok well iv tried to search the thread on how to check my cel code.but i cant find the green and black plug under dash.can anyone be specific how i get a cel code.p

Just take it back. Simple.

I\'m sure they will be happy to check the codes and sort it out if they are at fault.

If its something unrelated just take it somewhere else.

Take it back or regret it Ok so i went a bit wild previously But one needs to express the urgency of returning to winger when the fault occurred, It may now be too late for them to be even concerned as to whether they may have made a mistake DAYS have now past!

IF anyone ever has a fault inside of 24 hours from pick up at any service centre GET the F8&%K back there ASAP.

Or they will deny any responsibility as they do! Unless you go BERSERK and get consumers advice involved.

Having been there done that. I know how it goes.

This is now a question of "Good luck chum" As winger will duck for cover.

DO get the fault sorted though. Before it gives further issues

You drove it for 2 min and the CE light came on!! Drive straight back! Simple

Whinging about it on a forum will not fix it

just cos the light has gone away doesnt mean the fault has, get the codes checked. as for the price you got off lightly, most mechanics in wellington are around $100/hour labour
