So I dropped my Forester today

I used V8 STi struts, and dobi-sport superlow coils

I got about an 80mm drop

It rides well but I get a little rubbing at full lock. I\'ll sort that out on Monday, and get a wheel alignment.

You\'ll flog out your caster bushes soon. I have a set from a ra sti that\'ll fit nicely when they go also improve geometry a touch too. Damn it looks good keep a close eye on your rear drivers side tyre, less clearance there due to the fuel filler hosing

I have a V3 rear swaybar somewhere that apparently fits it - just have to figure out what bushes I need

Then its turbo conversion time, although I\'m having fun cruising in it

I don\'t know, they are just the ones i got lol. Swaybar just needs the correct bushes, bolts straight in, 20 minute job if you have never done one before

I vaguely remember reading about a spacer that I need to remove from the front. Anyone know anything about that?

Aahh, yeah, the auto\'s don\'t like having the spacers removed, things catch on the firewall / transmission tunnel. Throw a set of roll center adjusters to get the same effect as subframe spacer removal\'s effect on the steering geometry. I bet you are fighting a fair bit of bump steer at the moment aye?

I really dont know. I havent driven it too much and am going easy until monday when i can pull the inner fenders out and roll the front guards

The balloon tyres actually work with it I think - fozzys normally look stupid with massive wheels & lo pro tyres, like a 4x4 on 20\'s and street tyres does - this actually looks sort of in proportion to me

I like 18 with 40s like our old one 35 on cars imo. Just had lowering springs. Looked better when it had adjusties in the back sat another 10mm lower the way I had it.

Mines rubbing like a bitch. I have removed the inner guard liners, and "massaged" the wheel wells.

I\'m going to try some spacers tomorrow,and get it flusher with the guard.

Wheel / tyre specs? Mine had a whole world of rub with 225/55 17s, nothing with 215/45s, and 225/40s. Check where it\'s rubbing, you might be catching the tyre on the strut.

Above was 235/40/18 no rub ever at that height or sacked in rear with big oompa loompas.

You WERE running coilovers

Helps quite a bit with the reducing the rubbing of the things on the other things

No just stock springs in foz struts.

Later I ran tein adjusties in rear only height adjust no camber/damper adjustment. Dropped another 10-15mm with keepers in just firmed it up heaps still no rub. That was with stock fronts just wanted to level it off a bit.

Aahh ok. The forester strut tower base is further away from the hub bolts, so when you bolt in sti struts you run into rub a bit earlier

Its rubbing on the inner guards. Going to pick up some spacers today and see if i can sort it.
