decaping yellows in auckland

it wont have a spray pattern once decapped, I did it myself for free with a fine file. it really is that easy

You can only do it with phase 2 v5- injectors...and you will need a tune.

if this is for your legacy dont even bother, you wont be able to tune for it anyway and doubtful youll be running low on fuel with stock turbos

it\'s for my project motor, so what cc rating are the bigger yellows?

all yellows are 440cc rated at 85% IDC @3bar, decapped they are 900cc and even a possum link wont control them properly.

do yourself a favour and dont worry about injectors till last

As above do it last. My vf22 is almost maxed with p2 440cc at 100%d/c. Its a really quick job I wouldnt bother until every little thing is planned and finished and you KNOW you need bigger injectors to reach your power level.

AFAIK any p2 yellow side feed is the same as each other. There is a blue side feed late legacy which flows about 550ish which is just shy of pink top feeds at 565.

Merely squirting fuel into the cylinder is not good for your motor

best way to increase volume is to increase the fuel pressure 8) most injectors will flow about 30% more at increased pressures. up to around 80 to 90 psi (5 to 6 Bar)

Yes there is a limit to what will flow at a given pressure. infact once 100 psi (7 bar) is achieved even if you double it again (pressure) most injectors will not flow any more volume

However the atomisation is fantastic ;D

you only need one reg for your fuel control even if you do split rail fueling

all right so just put them into my bg5a gt which has a full decated exhaust, chipped ecu, b4 turbos and a split fuel rail, it now runs like shit the motor shakes bad and it doesn\'t want to rev freely, put the yellows and the ecu in at the same time so it has to be one of them..

i could be you have a ecu thats not meant to do the job . a dead injector or a pinched injector seal.

my bet would be the injector seal if youve just changed them

You cant throw in bigger injectors and expect it to run untuned. And what are you basing the fuel running out with higher boost on?

the ecu is a massive unknown here remember, for all you know its meant to have 800cc squirters or a z32 afm or something (who knows?)

dumping big injectors in may fix a slight lean off at full noise but at the expense of running pig rich everywhere else, its a silly way to fix things and would also explain a fcked up idle

how lean was the wideband showing? a better fix would be just lowering the boost, those little auto tt turbos will just be cooking the air once youre up past 16/17 psi anyway

have found out one injector is a dud so it was only running on three cylinders, put a grey in there and it runs all good now ;D
