I had one as a rental, company was uuuuber specific IT MUST RUN ON PREMIUM GAS, I asked at the time and theyd had a couple ping themselves to an early grave and only still ran them cause people needed 4wd wagons for ski season

64 litres. Our manual states \'Unleaded Gasoline\' for the 2.0i, and \'Unleaded Premium Gasoline\' for all other models. I guess you interpret that how you like.

We\'re talking octane rating right? I don\'t know that you can gauge quality on that. I also don\'t know why a modern 2 litre engine on a conservative factory tune, making very modest power, with a low rev limit, and hardly stratospheric compression, needs a high octane fuel.

Probably because its originally a Japanese Market car, where they run 100 Octane fuel. As such the car is built to take that

and for this reason I run mine on 98. 04 2.0l auto jdm import

true, I guess if it was NZ new it maybe a lower spec and different story

our NZ new BPE (3.0r) runs 95 minimum. dets its nuts off on 91. YMMV

I know that throughout a year it might make a bit of a difference but we\'re talking roughly $5 difference per tank on each fill up? I think its a little less than that? $5 a week or fortnight or however much you fill up really isn\'t much of a tradeoff for better reliability and peace of mind

Can you, yes, should you? Definitely not, why would you bother anyway, you might save a couple bucks per fill but that will be offset with lower fuel economy so at best you are talking 2-5$ per full tank... is that worth an early grave for your car?

i did 91 to get to a petrol station once and it wasnt a good time

yeah I would believe that. I remember the first time I was able to put 98 in my old RS legacy, it loved it!, could feel the difference from the good old 95/96
