So story is i bought a new core for my turbo which was replaced by kinugawa. Put everything back together car still wont boost wastegate spring pressure so i took it for a blat on 12 psi while boosting, the boost when away and it felt NA i turned up 100% duty cycle still does 5psi nothing higher..

they dont die for the hell of it, my first thought is poor lubrication - either too much or too little oil getting in, or its not getting out properly

too much itd be smoking tho

what was the problem with the last one? or did you just bolt on new one and fang it

is the turbo broke or there is problems with your install?

boost controller plumbed wrong ?

pull the line off the wastegate and take it for a drive and see if it will go over 5 . but be carefull coz its free boosting

given any consideration to the oil feed requirements between bb and journal turbos ?

I\'m running standard oil lines. It should be fine with the turbo but it\'s reccomended to upgrade them. The problem with last turbo was apparently shitty intake and little dirt and stuff hit the compressor wheel which turned out to be no in balance anymore

Whats the bet a lump of gasket shit has gone through the turbine and trashed it?

To put it bluntly:

Step 1: Stop using cheap parts, you\'re chasing the better part of 300kw, do you know about the modification triangle? Cheap, fast, reliable: choose 2

Step 2: Get the non-shit parts installed properly. If you need to use loads of gasket goo then the exhaust isn\'t fit for a Toyota Corolla, let alone a performance car.

no because your gauge shows the boost reaching the intake manifold . not the boost your turbo is pushing out .

hence even when you free boost it it still only gets 5 psi at the engine because the rest is escaping somewhere

i think your missing a few things here because it should be pretty straight forward to figure out

i think your car has a major meatware error

Update: Replaced a silone Joiner Tighten the nipples on wastegate as one was loose. Got the car to boost 19 psi max on 100 duty cycle 100% gain 100% sensitivity on gfb ebc. After a while boost would read 19 psi till 5500rpm and drop straight to 5psi at 6000rpm. Had a wrx pull up to me last night on the mway back home with my friend of my still ate him while shifting before 6000rpm. 5th and 6th gear ftw HAHAH, back to the point now..

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
