SAAS Bathurst steering wheel

Hiya, checking to see if anyones had experience installing this wheel in an sti? I have 2001 sti and the stock momo wheel is in bad nick. Looking to replace it with the SAAS bathurst wheel which from the link provided looks to be a nice wheel. Obvioulsy i would need to pick up the momo boss kit at the same time? Never done a wheel before.......I have however clued myself up on how to remove the stock wheel/airbag etc....

glad i asked, i would have no idea, anyone know the process behind getting cert? What about getting specialist sub mechanic to install?

I believe its along the lines of can\'t get a wof without it . But can get a permit for removing it if it is over so many years old or you compete in a minimum number of motor sport events per year .

But before you research it further don\'t remove it

Prolly easiest to get a good nick one from a wrecker ,might even be better looking or later model ones that will swap in

In that case i would look at \'upgrading\' to a newer sti wheel or replacing with an identical unit.

Maybe post a wanted thread.

I a little surprised we cant get aftermarket steering wheels with air bags. Imagine there are economic reasons

I miss my proper Momo (the Subaru OEM ones really dont compare)

don\'t bother with cheap wheels, I have seen allot of car with them broken
