Dashlights stay on without key and car wont fire

Just finished all my the work required to get my car back up and running again and now i am struck with the problem of the car not starting (it cranks over) there is no spark at all also when i remove the key alll the dash lights stay on and i can operate the electrics excluding the radio. the things i have done to find the problem is try two other ecus as well as plug in an obd2 cable which only lights up but doesnt work when the key is removed. any ideas ??

righto i fix the dash lights and fuel pump priming issue. it was the knock sensor in the end . . .

but i still have the problem of no spark and i cant get the obd2 to connect to the ecu but that could always just be a faulty obd2

further progression was it wasnt the knock sensor it was something else but in the process it had blowen the crank sensor so chucked a new one in and what do you know motor sparked coughed got my hopes up and then jump straight back to square one. so too find a new sensor.

unplug the sensors 1 by one replacing them once you have eliminated them on the loom under the manifold

Na the Tan interior only comes on the 3.0R models..

of course : my question was about as usefull as "my car has dash lights on" on a Subaru forum

could be 1 of about 30 makes/model variants across the Subaru range

without proper info we cant give proper answers no?

Year and Model for starters might help, details on the donor motor, is it even compatible etc, what ECU (you cant get CEL codes from a link the same way as a OEM Subaru ECU etc

and a solution for the dash light (even tho its been rectified) could be back-feeding via the loom if its got the wrong sensors in the wrong motor.... or the starter motor was wired in wrong givign +ve on all the time

thanks for your opinions joker but please return yourself to the peanut gallery. Solution was to check and clean earths (fixed dash lights staying on) change crank sensor car started.

+5 billion. I found out trying to get my car started with an increase in injectors.

back to no spark HMMM has a flicker of spark when i turn the ignition on but nothing further (v5 Coil pack)

Drivers? You mean module? How are you testing spark? Is your battery all good?

battery is fine brand new

Tested the coil pack thats fine

new crank and cam sensor

check the plug going into the coil pack one has power the rest don\'t

Power in the middle wire is fine, the ecu earths the left or right pin to make the coils spark
