Silicon hose problem?

Hey all, just wanting to know if you guys could help me with a wee problem showing. I recently went about fitting an HKS SSQV 3 blow off valve on my car, only problem is, the hose keeps on tearing with the boost. Didn\'t play with anything else when putting it in, but everytime after I drive, it\'s showing it being torn. Is there any way to go about fixing it, being, any high quality silicon hose available for purchase, heat wrap for re-enforcement, or is there possibly another problem?

twist the bov somewhere so it doesn\'t rub. it will be scraping against the bonnet and topmount splitter by the looks.

Exactly the same issue I initially had after fitting my HKS BOV. I think you have the incorrect adapter. It should be angled towards the bottom which will change the orientation of the BOV. I\'ll add pics at some stage if you like, don\'t have them on this PC...

At the base of your valve where it connects to the TMIC adaptor, is a big circ-clip. Undo or losen that circ-clip then you can spin/rotate the Valve.

+1. This circlip is a cunt though. Go to supercheap and buy a cheap set of circlip pliers. Ones it\'s \'clipped\' in you will need to push the circlip \'out\' with a flat head screw driver to make sure it seats properly. I learnt this the hard way

Yea if you could post up a couple of pictures that\'d be great. Thanks about the help guys, I\'ll look at the clip today and have a wee look at sorting it out.

As ADIKT said, you\'ll need some Circlip Pliers. It\'s pretty tight and not easy to do with 2 screwdrivers. (Stab stab)

My Bracket is different, but the circlip is still the same:

just man up and twist it around . its only sitting on an o ring . for the amount of effort it takes to swear at the circlip and get it out and back in i wouldnt bother

silicone looks like cheap s*** also .

even if the bonnet squashed it and cut right through it in the sharp end of the hose tail it shouldnt tear tight off like that

I have never seen silicon tear like that... must be rubbish... probably not even silicon.

The circlip needs to be removed to disassemble the HKS head for cleaning etc. I haven\'t tried spinning it.

thats why i I mentioned twisting . I could manage twisting mine an the cooler wasnt bolted to a car

The hose your using is also crap.

Ditch it and put some normal black stuff in there
