link install costs involved?

After my car not going for a number of day i started to suspect i fried my ecu so started to look for another one but that was easier said than done.

But i did find a link plug an play link and at the time i didn\'t want it as i thought my loom might of been the issue and didn\'t want to fry this one as well.

So long story short i got my car going and it wasn\'t the ecu but now i\'m thinking i should get that link as its a plug and play one so would just plug into my loom.

I\'m just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them before and whats the costs of getting it tuned and what not, I\'m in Hamilton

Million dollar question. Ring D-tech and get a deal on supplying/fitting/tuning worth the trip from what customers say.

He is on my list for when I get my link in.

Maybe I should just do it - instead of buying all this other stuff

If you get a plug and play one setup your IAT sensor, run the wires for it and then drive to the tuner on stock ECU.

Worst case scenario you wire the IAT in at there workshop, its a 2 min job and they tune. $1000 should get you a tune no issues and Tintins price above is awesome if you can get the same.

Oh also depending on the ECU you may need an extended loom to do an AFM delete, I had to get one but I cent remember exactly why.

Could probably borrow a controller to tune it? They seem to get loaned out for a small fee from time to time.

Personally I would hold out for a G4, I only paid $800 for mine a few years ago, was a mint deal at the time but they do come up from time to time.

Im hoping the ecu can be wired into the existing loom, Im no electrican so I\'ll be looking for some one to do this, just looking to pick some brains at cost info as I am steadiy approaching the ecu intsall and tune phase of my single turbo conversion.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
