Your Choice in boost controllers

So hai!

i got a 96 GT leggy with the awesome TT setup :-X

Im getting boost spikin to like 16psi, and then the engine shuts down.. ive already blow a coilpack coz of it.

So before i do anythything i want to get this under control

Someone mentioned i need an apexi AVC-R but thats like 800$!

Whats a good boost conroller that handles sequential setup well?

you have litterally the only option already in front of you (APEXI)

or I have heard GREDDY Profec Spec B can handle the TT different boost setting ok

Profec's are good, Apexi too, avoid Gizzmo, Hybrid, or anything else you find cheap on trademe

Yeah, you're pretty limited with the TT, you gotta get something that can do TT boost control. I've heard very good things about the AVC-R. Time to pony up some $'s!

ok well I havnt had much to do with the TT setups (apart from my brother in law just buying a 95 gt 3 days ago) but in theory, if you got it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing, could you not just run 2 boost taps for a cheaper option?

Also what sort of boost standard should his gt be running? we chucked on a pod filter (inside guard so its getting heaps of cold air) and a 2 1/2 inch Sti system from the downpipes back, and a sti v4 intercooler, thats the only mods so far, it seems to run about just over 1 bar when the foots right up it for about 5 seconds and then it drops back a bit and holds, that sound right?

I run a profec B Spec II,

but am working on something that will hopefully run off the injector pulse as its input...
