i dont know what 2way is but they are according to websites haha.i assume that means you can either adjust the height by compressing the springs with the spanners or adjusting it by moving the part that bolts to the hubs?which i suppose still gives full travel maybe????

ALL coilovers aren't mean for street use. If its a daily driver you would be much better off with a strut/spring setup. D2's are also valved very stiffly with very little travel. What spring rates F/R are they?

umm haha wouldnt have a clue, have emailed the person i got them from but no reply, nothing on the box or on them anywhere how could i find out.i could of asked on the auction but tbh wouldnt know what would be a good spring rate for the street anyway?is there a spring rate that would be suitable for street or any feedback on what people have that they use on the street, occasional track?

I had some d2's in my toyota. I had the same thing on the box I got. I believe all of them have this as they are illegal to install in road cars in most countries (you need a cert in NZ) Thats why they say track use only.

From what I could find there was only one model for my toyota, there wasn't a street or track variation.

+1

Most aftermarket parts I've seen have that they are for racing use only. I think half the time it's to avoid court cases in the States.

i think theres a few varieties street/drag/track /rally/drift the lil diagram says mine are maximum handling and durability and zero comfort and obliquity (wateva the fark that is ???)

Thats what mine were :) weren't too bad, the mrs complained the first trip we did, but after that I had no complaints.

I probably wouldn't by D2's again, I would go for a tein street version. But then I'll probably never look at coilovers again, quite happy with stock suspension at the moment.

I have Tein Super Street coil overs in my RA.

These have pillow balls on each, this would be the biggest contributor to NVH being that they are solid.

If you were to purchase coil overs then I would recommend hard rubber mounts.

Personally I'm happy with the compromise, although i don't know the spring rates; I can say they are not stupid hard.

Stock rates are 7k F/6k R on Super Streets.

Thanks for that.

I've driven a V6 STI with 12kg 11kg Front to rear and that was frankly dangerous.

Yea, for anything other than a dedicated track car that is too high. It becomes a safety issue on the street, especially on rough backroads.

The coilovers were Ksport, they were originally fitted to a Track car, the only flex was the Tires. Eventually they were swapped out for 8kg 7kg.

Had D2 coilovers in my S13 and they were nice and stiff. Only ever took the car on the road and loved them. Then I was green stickered for no cert and sold them :D

In the end it would have been cheaper for me to cert them than it did to have Tein springs put in. But oh well.

Enjoy the D2's ;D

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
