You can pretty much take all the vacuum hoses off... they are just for emission control...you will actually save fuel and gain 10hp.

the engine does need air to make it work...... But serious point is it just for the boost controller? or just you have no hoses at all

smoke test.. im willing to try the poor mans way. anyone recommend or would stay clear of doing it that way. iv paid over $600 at the mechanics just for them to tell me there is a leak somewhere.. took it in for idle problems.. got my bushels and ball joints replaced haha prick got me.

iv replaced the MAF, BOV, podfilter.

did you replace the pod filter with a factory airbox? that's what I would've done.

I've made a back yard smoke tester and it works very well. There are lots

of youtube videos on how to make them... I just use scrunched up newspaper in a jar,

a long length of hose from bunnings and an electric tyre inflator.
