New subaru

Im looking for a Turbo Legacy, Wrx or Sti with a tight budget of 5-8k. Where do you guys think I should start for something fairly reliable (not intending any power mods).

What should I look out for? I have been told that if its modified just walk away.

How much kms is a lot for a Turbo Subaru?

and for what purpose is the car going to be? A daily/fun car?

Any age/generation that fits the budget really, prefer something made after 2000 as its getting pretty old after that. The car will be a daily.

$8000 should get you a somewhat decent GDA WRX. It won't be as much fun as an old GC/GF but it will be much safer, cheaper to insure and run, and a nicer daily.

 

EDIT: Although to be honest I would probably go for a GGA (WRX wagon) as they're just as fun to drive, more practical, and unless you get the STI or modify it a bunch I think they're better looking than the sedan.
