Turbo bracket and headders

Has anyone on here got a turbo bracket to suit a vf36? And/or a set of aftermarket headders and up pipe to suit turbo? Or even know where i could get these? Doing a turbo swap on my leggy and can't seem to find a bracket anywhere. Please and thankyou

@Rosssub got the bracket for that turbo from partsouq from memory, think the part number was in his build thread aswell

Oh it is too Cheers.  Was hoping to find a cheap second hand one tho a new one will have to be a last resort

Good luck. Partsouq and Ebay are really your best options sadly. It's about $130 or thereabouts.

has anyone had any problems with stainless steel headers cracking? ive heard a lot of bad things about them but have never talked to anyone who has had a problem. are the stock spec-c headers any good as it could be an option?

Are the Spec C headers any different to any other Version 9 or 10 STi headers?

Genuine subaru twin scroll headers are awesome. 

 

@GC8E2DD doubt it the turbos are almost identical bar bearing pack.

yea ok but what makes them awesome? is it reliability, performance? would i see any gain going aftermarket? I see you got leggy headers for your holset

Tony had recommended I get SSI ones for that turbo back last year, assume you'll be going there for a tune once its in?

OEM exhaust manifolds are meaty and have sweet factory heat shields. There are so many twin scroll conversions going on here at the moment it will be interesting to compare results.

ok thats good to know as that was my original plan. there is alot of banter going on between stainless vs mild steel and ive been recommended by a few people to go the mild route (v8 guys). ssi is easy too as nzkw does them.

Yeah I will be going there for the tune. Will still be a few months away as im still getting parts together.

He's got the Murch VF36/22 so that sucker might finally get some use and make some decent power providing everything else is up to spec

Even better; what does a twin scroll VF22 look like compared to 36s and 37s. I would have tried twin scroll VF24 myself if the Link had gone in first. Just for interest's sake.

If its the @ADIKT one theres not much vf36 about it except the p25 housing. Core, turbine and cover are VF22 and the wheels 49/.5 or so billet with ceramic bearings. Turbine will be tweaked as well so hard to compare to a stock vf.

 

Pretty much what @GC8E2DD said great heatshields and think theyre stainless anyway. Well constructed and legy ones are plenty big enough for 350-400wkw. The ssi are slightly bigger than sti iirc. Readon the ssi are recommended is theyre good quality and available off the shelf. Sti ones are hard to find and legy ones have the different flange.

 

 

And I wouldnt put mild pre turbo.
