Couldn't agree more, insure it, alarm it and take all the precautions you can.

Unfortunately if someone who knows what they are doing decides they really want your baby they'll likely get it. You just have to make it as unappealing as possible, like putting Jessica Biel in a gorilla suit.

haha well yea, the angriest meanest looking one does, its actually the biggest softy of the three, food is the mighty staffys major weakness, then again if they knew you were up to no good they would probly take the food from you and then proceed to eat your hand/face/other bodypart

If someone managed to get in, it would be someone you know who has had contact with the dog. Doesnt matter how friendly they are they are mega territorial and they know when someone isnt suposed to be there.

Seriously though, whats the easiest way of getting a car onto a flatbed?

I haven't a clue, but if you can answer this, then maybe you can make it slightly harder..

Most flatbeds have a base which extends out and sits flat on the ground... push the car on, put some strops thru the wheel spokes / around a subframe / whatever, to secure it... then push the button and the bed pulls itself back up.

Easiest solution, keep your car on a REALLY BIG fully armored tow truck with super high security, that nobody else can put on a bigger tow truck!

I still think one of the best defences is your drive way. With ours, it's possible to park one of the cars in a way that it is literally impossible to get out without it's own power. Unless you rigged up a pulley system or had literally about 6-8 bro's push it up the hill (they'd be on grass too). The only way to get the car down the drive is to drive up into the carport, then reverse out and back down the drive. My bedroom is right above the car port, and my 3" has no problem waking me up.

Even when not parked in that sweet spot, it's still a woefully bad drive. The only obvious attempt at a car theft that has happened here was several years ago when someone tried taking my brothers lazer wagon. We found it in the moning stuck, wedged in the narrow drive diagonally. They failed to manouver it enough to get it straight down the drive, and once stuck, it's stuck, it's like a 30º incline! Only way out is under it's own power

airbags would make it hard to get onto a flatbed but i'm not going to lose my boot just so i don't lose my car.

what about those pillars that are buried in concrete that you can extend? (like a temporary gate)

might be easier to install i remote gate then you might as well of built a garage but where do you stop?

insurance and a 5 start alarm is your best bet, got money get GPS installed.
