Ask RAC if he's still running a stock clutch. I think he's mentioned his is stock. ~360kw

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it spend a bit of its time on a Dyno?

It got tuned on a dyno originally. I don't know him so have no idea how much it gets driven around.

and his is RWD from memory so itl give more in the rubber to tarmac department being kinder on the clutch and transmission

It was rwd for dyno'ing on a 2wd dyno as far as i know. He'd mentioned somewhere putting it back to 4wd once it was done. I was considering doing the same thing as it takes ten minutes to swap over.

What method does he use to do that?

A welded centre that has the splined drive to the front diff removed before welding. So it is just a pure rwd diff and not a fully locked centre diff. I have one that was done in a similar matter and it just takes a bit more skill in lining up the remaining spiders when welding as they are free floating until welded unlike a typical welded centre that someone just launched into with a welder to stop the spiders from rotating.

Means you can swap to rwd without needing to remove the front axles. Just jack the back of the car right up, rear plate off the g/box, swap diffs, jobs done.

Bailin if you havent worke3d out yet after all your questions about what power this will take or that will take there is no set powerlimit on factory parts some people use them to higher power levels yet others cant get f all more than factory out of them before it brakes..

Theres a lot of contributing factors apart from itl take xxxx hp/kw

my first welded centre diff i had like that, the spline was machined out and that peice had to be welded to the diff body still, it worked good for a while til the welds broke, and this was done by my dad whos an engineer, apparently not enough surface area or penetration (been hardened steel) for the welds to hold, he warned me bout it to start with though lol, however my new one is just spider gears filled with weld, that was done by marshalls transmissions, and i cant break it.

i guess for dyno purposes it would hold up no worries. just dont go dropping the clutch ;)

Just wanted to make sure that by getting a remap and a dyno.. adding 4okw to standard wrx wont break it...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
