Did the cam wheels break nick? Hope the valves are still straight, I have seen and replaced valves myself on engines due to the plastic pully wheels failing upon impack. I will be back in 3 weeks and can possibly give you a bit of a hand if you need an extra person for anything. Good luck mate you will be racing in no time.

think they did break the cam wheels but Nick told me on sat nite valves are all good! Much to his delight

Just having a look at the front of you motor with the belts on Nick and realising that resealing my oil pump is going to be a bitch of a job isn't it. I hope Josh is up to the task

Very lucky the valves are straight if the cam pullys broke. Nice to have lady luck on your side ocasionally

Thank fuck is all I can say.

Bazza hiffed his out, but I'm pretty sure a cam cover from an EJ20D (which is of similar vintage to the 20G) should be identical. So from any quad cam Legacy before 1993 should be sweet. San said he'd have a look or something. Slightly drunk now so can't remember.

My trans is now starting to slip in 2nd so I can't go out to pick a part and get one on my own.

RAY are you using a n/a engine in that gt? why? if you are i found a recond ej20d on tardme for $350 and it hasnt skipped a beat yet...

find yourself a wrx engine ( $750ish ) and do it properly...

Hmmm....going back...it's like history repeats itself.

roughly 3 weeks after getting my restricted, it had been raining not that long ago. Nothing stupid here, just inexperience on wet and greasy roads. Written off because it was insured for $800.

The clincher, it happened within spitting distance of Ray's house!

Toluene works, although they'll suspect you of having a P lab when you want to buy a couple of litres of it Can get it from industrial painters usually. Just take in a suitable container.

Someone mentioned a citrus based cleaner in one of the old "Dry ice/underseal removal" threads which I don't know if it was on this current version or one of the lost forums.
