td05 + v2 longblock + v3 modded intake manifold + v6 intercooler + v3 sti 6S ecu on modded v2 loom + safc2 and ebc

that pretty much sums up the engine lol

so yeah hit 3mile hill with it this evening. didn't boost it too much, bit of a rangi bonnet right now, jumped on my old one until it was straight enough to fit HAHA so no intercooler scoop.

now i know what 187 kw atw feels like - full boost with no intercooler airflow just like on the dyno lol

couple of bugs to sort out, an interesting clunk that felt like something shifted mid corner - hate those.. so hard to find. might check the road for a pot hole before tearing it all apart again

totally different car. it doesn't feel like a modified 1.6 auto. it feels like the old one. which is good i suppose, well it is a lot louder incabin.. hmmmm going to make a thick carpet insert for town use i reckon

nah i read it haha but he had the ra it got crashed he got the 1600cc auto and was doing a transplant but i saw somewhere there was talk of using the 1600 motor and ra running gear to ge ready in time for mega meet..

But then above he talks about no intercooler scoop so assuming hes running turbo set up again...??

yeah, using the engine from the RA. replaced the cam pulleys, the cambelt and some coolant pipes and the engine seems to work fine. stroke of luck the valves where not damaged

yeah, promised a pic but worked from 9am to 4am yesterday.. took a pic in between work but it didn't turn out. will post up during the week.

cheers for everyones support - its been a good project and i've put some serious hours in over the last.. 10 weeks? hope it holds together for the trip up and the track. theres nothing like playing around on the circuit and i can't wait
