Really? So that is - you send them a sump (all EJ20) sumps interchangeable?) and they send one back with the baffles installed - all for two hundy slides? How would that compare to a $900 Macbilt item?

You would have to talk to Al/Loren I believe they are running Macbilt sumps. I imagine the MacBilt ones have enlarged capacity etc.

The PBM ones is just a few extra baffles welded in. When I rang them about it they gave me the sales pitch, including that they were used in production car racing at Bathurst without failure.

Probably best to ask around for experiences on baffled sumps (perhaps in a different thread too? ) to see what peoples opinions from people who have used them.

As for sumps all being the same - Im pretty sure twin scroll ones are different (Im no expert so check to make sure), and I believe the pickup point on the BC5 is diffferent as I know someone who had trouble with the pickup on a BC5 hitting the sump when putting a WRX sump on.

definately talk to ntawhitegtb(clint) and BT, and tony and keltik. I would stay away from them personally. Have been given the opinion that (from several people that have looked inside their sump from PBMS when it returned that it was very simple and do a piss poor job).. this is just what OPINIONS ive been given.

You will find people on both sides of the fence. (im on the other side on this one).

Personally i went for something different.

The Macbilt sump has extra capacity - 6.5 litres up from 4.5 litres. Also has inverted wiiiiiiiiiiiiings to keep oil low, and hinged access to trap oil in pickup area. If I'm lucky there is a really poor photo of it here.
