  1. If people are too stupid to be able to distinguish between short term diagnosis instructions, and permanent band aids... then they should blow their s*** cars up and take the bus
  2. imagine how well his brakes work in the wet.
  3. lol. It will explode and leave a massive crater. One second of boost won't hurt it.
  4. Fitting an external wastegate to diagnose a boost problem in an oem setup is bats*** crazy. Put a clamp on the boost control line to see if it boosts... go from there.
  5. You will have to have a pipe made to match up the UEL headers to the NA exhaust as they are completely different.
  6. Not used them... is it that a painted bumper?
  7. There is absolutely nothing reliable in that thread in regards to the airbag functionality. So it is still going to be a coin toss if it actually goes off in a collision.
  8. Toss that one in the too hard basket and find something else to obsess over.
  9. You can't get blood from a stone though. Why did she have your car in the first place?
  10. No that's cool thanks Tony. I was just curious about the intake mainly... I had a good look underneath it on a few occassions when it was up on the hoist at macbilt. Very cool car... would love all the nice subframes and adjustable arbs one day. That would be great, I heard it was black and covered in carbon fibre now... is that true? Apologies for not letting you know about the pins etc... i just raided pick a part in the end.
  11. Do you know if the 22b had his subframes as well or did macbilt make them? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks Tony. That guy does a lot of evo stuff!
  13. Does anyone happen to have pics of the engine bay? Al told me the intake manifold on it gained 70 hp over stock without any other changes... he couldn't remember the name of the company that makes them though... just that they are in chch. oh, found one already, and on here. https://s83.photobucket.com/user/hayden67/media/20150805_170721.jpg.html
  14. I thought he meant just the engine bay... not sure why... but yeah... for time attack type vehicles they are probably good, as long as you have a good aero guy
  15. Lots of cars have them... I think they are there to keep road dirt and water out of the engine bay, rather than for any aero effect.
  16. Just assume you have a compound turbo setup? lol.
  17. will be fine. 1.6 % is nothing. no real downside... a bit heavier... a bit more grip possibly.
  18. Sounds like a dead alternator to me... a mechanic will be able to diagnose and fix.
  19. Check that the hoses are connected and there is water in the tank.
  20. sweet, i will pm you about it. sure but prefer one that hasn't been subjected to heat and oil for 25 years... plus it's not exactly easy to get to a wrecker or pick a part these days.
  21. Does anyone know where to get one of these locally? https://www.efihardware.com/products/2986/3-pin-connector-subaru-coolant-sensor
  22. Thanks for the link, so good and complete info there No ring light on mine, the trademe link was just a random pic I found for reference. They all seem to have the plug though.
  23. I have had no luck with google ... could it also be to do with the immobilizer... not fitted in my vehicle but fitted to others?
  24. Hi, Does anyone know what the two wire plug on top of the ignition barrel is for? (the plug above the key on top of the barrel... not the power wiring on the tumbler). I have remove my loom to strip excess wires and have either removed the connector for this plug, from the loom, or it was never there. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/steering/listing-2586037178.htm Thanks
  25. The wobble is what finally convinced me that they are taking the piss.
