  1. I don't know the answer but aren't the rears on a Type R good enough? They can't be much smaller then the brembo equivalent and the rear brakes don't do a lot compared to the front.
  2. twin exhaust split from a single pipe at the rear diff has always annoyed the tits off me.
  3. Anyone think the rear diff internals would be the weak point rather than the axles? I know a certain evo where that's true anyway.
  4. In general? What do you mean by that?
  5. Aside from borrowing one... the best bet would be wr twigg just round the corner from you.
  6. yeah but the part number for the 1.37mm is actually 1.6mm. Anyway decided to go with a 1.0mm cometic. I think that will give me an 8.62:1 CR
  7. Sweet info. Thanks oh, so the STI HG listed as 1.37mm is actually the 1.6mm?
  8. Does Subaru make a 1.3mm 93mm bore MLS HG? Or will I need to go after market?
  9. got engine back just need to get the right head gaskets and set the valve lifter clearances and I can put it all back together.
  10. cleaned up sump... getting all the bits of silicon out from the bottom is really difficult. lapped 12 new valves, 4 to go.
  11. try putting more in it anyway... sometimes they look full and you put more in and it still says full... not overfull.
  12. Put more fluid in it. they screech like hell when not full enough.
  13. That's what they always do... Got to put them in neutral and release park brake.
  14. Cool and cool... but I'm entitled to my opinion and to give advice for and against a product. In this case I wouldn't want to live with the uncertainty of using a no name clutch. Save another $400 and get an exedy.
  15. too cheap... no brand... and you don't even need a new clutch?
  16. cheapest seems to be starting at 2.5k these days.
  17. ahh the joys of working on a car that you rely on
  18. def take it off and have it machined or at least inspected.
  19. I wasn't disagreeing with him derp... just making it clearer...
  20. None of the wheel dimensions change the hub to guard distance.
  21. what a cock from my exp wof guys don't car too much about the wheel size. Mine is certified for 18x8s wheels but I get wofs with 16x7s the stock size.
