Cusco Adjustables - Rebuildable?

A mate is wanting to know if his rear cusco are rebuildable (gc8), if so where from and what price would he be expecting to pay (anyone had it done or any estimate would be good)

Or can you buy shocks to suit them, ie shocks with thread around it

He said he has heard of one place in auckland which can rebuild but costs a lot and doesn't guarantee them at all.

they could probably be rebuilt, more than likly though who ever he takes them to may recommend a replacement shock insert, say a bilsten one or something more common.

Don't know where you are but see if there is an S.A.S. in your area, or a George Stocks... both are suspension specialists. Expect to pay about $250 per corner

Don't think there are either of those haha, no doubt they will be getting sent to up to Auckland to get fixed

250 a corner if you dont have adjustable valving, if you do then at least double that. Not sure Ive heard of cuscos being rebuilt here tho, mainly Bilseins and Teins.

might want to PM Becca aka H8RS H8/CMPLSV as im pretty sure she had massive dramas with getting her shocks done recently.

she has had to have em rebuilt a few times afaik and would be a good person to talk to about who does a good job and for what price.

Talk to Chris at Suspension Tech - he is very clever (and reasonably priced) when it comes to rebuilding the jap branded shocks...

Pretty sure gotasuby got a price at some stage to rebuild his cuscos, that had to be done with a bilstein insert and wasn't the usual $250ish. It wasn't really worth it IIRC.

I was there earlier in the week. I would recommend Suspension Tech also, he'll be able to sort them out

i dealt with them recently to get my subframe lock bolts, seemed pretty good guys.
