Installing water spray kits for the intercooler

Hello all,

has anyone installed one of these water spray kits for their intercooler. I was wondering where you can buy the parts for this, are they from a later model wrx? Is it an easy install?

Cheaper and better to make your own than use the Sti parts

I found the above kit for $50, does it look about right?

$50 seems quite high but i guess you don't have to much around.

If you can get to pick a part then it would be much cheaper.

To do it properly you need a controller otherwise its a waste of time doing it.

wouldnt the water that drips off the intercooler onto your engine may the engine go that orangy colour ? like the colour your engine gets from the radiator water leaking onto the engine (if you have a radiator / headder tank leak)

most of the water that comes off my intercooler is fine enough that as soon as it hits the hot engine, it evaporates.

i made my own from a gtb washer bottle and some old window washer jets... they pour the water over it. but at night on the motorway boost feels so much stronger and more responsive its a good cheep upgrade

At night the air is cooler and denser anyway - youll find a lot of vehicles go better at night than they do during the day

Where is your intercooler ?

Do you drive in the rain ?

top mount... yeah its my daily driver. and about the cool air at night.. i realise that but it makes a noticeable difference ontop of that
