just wondering does the SPEC C come out with BREMBO brakes? or is that factory options?

Basically, early Spec C's came in two flavours;

1. 16" steel wheels, DCCD, STI 4-pot front/ 2-pot rear brakes, no ABS.

2. 17" alloy wheels, no DCCD, Brembo 4/2-pot brakes, ABS.

Later (v8 > ?) Subaru were smart enough to integrate DCCD with ABS.

And of course with an extensive option list available you often come across cars with a mix of performance and luxury options.

Eg. a Spec C with airbags, aircon, Brembos but windup windows.

this is a more like option 1

sti 4 pots and 2 pots back...

but its a ver8 ( or unless its been converted)

it just wierd seeing a sti spec c without the brembo.

thanks

who cares if your gonna gut the interior anyway and chuck in a roll-cage and rally gear? I guess thats the point. I know evo's came with really basic options to bring down the bare-bone's price for rally use.

It's just the manufacturer supplying a complete car except all the bits you'll bin anyway are just crap.

i though brembo are good? what do they replace it with?

Brembos brakes are good. however.........

the 16" spec c model was built to be used as a group n car for gravel rallying. the 16" has the 4 pot front and 2 pot rear subaru calliper, which will fit the 15"gravel wheels. Brembo's wont clear.

however the ver10 spec c should all have factory brembos (both winger cars were this model, both of those being eventually owned by Richard Mason and are Group N spec), as the group n homologated brake kit is a new feature for group n cars ver10 onwards. this kit is a AP RAcing STI kit , big chequebok stuff. the sort of kit you can go a season on the same rotors.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
