Just got a quote to lower the bug $1065 dobi springs, labour and wheel alignment sound farkin expensive to me and the ol ball and chain was not into it so deciding to do it myself bar the wheel alingment so any ideas on the best spring to use from experiences in the club, wanna come down bout 50mm give or take without sacrificing ride comfort. Any hassles with doing the job and any tips for making it easier

dont think the Gc8s will fit...

as for brands of springs. Dobi or Tein would be good. Dont really trust king (even though they have a reputable name) and those red ones. umm Jamex thats the one!!

No evidence what so ever on why i dislike king and jamex. Just a personal thing lol.

and 1000 is DEFINITELY expensive. Springs brand new est $450..wheel allignments i get done for $25 installation $100..all up $575! leaving you $500 for more mods!! :P

50mm of lowering is going to screw up your suspension geometry. 35mm is about as low as you can go with a GDB without going to uprated shocks. But each to their own....

If you can tolerate a higher ride height, RaceComp Engineering in the US do a set of springs called "Yellow" which are highly rated. You can often get them second hand from NASIOC. The spring rate is set to complement the factory KYB damper rates, and they're the maximum drop you can get without upsetting the suspension geometry. But no way you'll get 50mm of drop out of them.

Top advice.

Dumping a car and screwing with spring/damper rates is a sure way to fu ckup your car.

I personally found that super lows only lowered my v7 about 30-40mm. I had king springs for about a month but didnt like them. Still had a bit to much roll in it. Adjustables are the way to go. You might be able to pick up some second hand ones for cheap.

This is my v7 on superlows its not very good, but its the only one i have

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
