I thought about it, but decided not to worry. I've got a second car that will happily pootle along on 91

1k will get you a second hand Corona or Corolla which can do the same, so you can leave the Scoob for the weekends

Its not like another car will not use any fuel, the best you can really expect is a saving of 1-2L per 100km (my experiance). I would rather drive a wrx over a shit box for a few bucks a week

Yeah most of my driving is motorway so the wrx does great for efficeintcy (curse you spelling)

Does when your WRX gets 300kms~ to a tank on 98 at over $120 a tank and lasts SFA

But my Sentra gets 550kms to a tank on 91 at $80 a tank which lasts me two weeks - perfect for around town... and TBH way more comfy than the WRX around town.

I get anywhere between 400-450km out of a full tank, last fill cost me $115

depends on the car. I suppose Ive got it good. My Wingroad does everything my WRX doesnt do.

Can fit a stove in it, its auto so if i have to be in traffic i dont ruin my clutch and the aircons works.

Based on 2 cars Wof reg and petrol assuming Wrx only for weekends and shitbox for weekdays

Compared to just Wrx

Say I'm travelled is 200om per week and 50km in weekends

Would the second car be justified

The kms I'm picking is just some random number

Obviously 98 for Wrx and 91 for shitbox car

AA used to have calc on their website inlc depreciation..simplistically use the IRD rate of 72 cents per km to answer your question....so my 60 km round trip actually costs me $42.

$10 A Week For Each Car for WOF And Rego (Roughly)

200kms (Weekend Driving?) In A WRX Per Tank (Roughly) $60 a week??

600Kms In A daily Driver $80 Per Tank per Week

Every Two months a Oil Change in Daily $80? = $10 A Week

Every 4 Months Oil Chance In WRX $100 = $5 A Week

Add In Tires, Repairs, General Maintence

Daily Driver Would Cost $100 To Run A Week

WRX Would Cost $70 A Week Also as A Weekend Toy.
