anti-theft know how?

I live in the eastern side of auckland, and alot of my mates had their subi's stolen right from their own driveway !

What would you guys recommend to reduce the risk and prevent these F*cknuggets trying to steal your pride n joy?

5 star rated alarm/immobiliser with pager.

Dont drive car anywhere and park it in a dodgy place after dark.

garage your car in a locked garage every night.

These will stop 99% of incidental thefts.

or if your smart pull your afm plug out and hide it.

Pull out plugs like the cam angle sensor plug, etc. It'll turn over but not start. Doesn't stop it being broken into or towed, but at least it's one deterrant.

That and a really loud alarm with extra piezo screamers.

get it tracked, the tracker cost 399 for unit and then 20 dollars a month to track it. This way the car can be found and you can remotly kill it which is included in the 399 price via a text message from your cell phone, pretty cool system.

My Version 7 runs with no AFM. It just has a CEL and runs really, really rich.

Set it up to only kill fuel. That way it'll just lean out and melt a piston when the police are chasing you

I did get a text system installed where I can check the status, lock and unlock my car via my phone. But I'm not too sure if it has a gps tracking system.

Had a wagon wrx before this and that car got smashed at the city. took all my sound system and ripped apart my interior.

subi thieves should be burnt alive.
