Red struts in gf8

Anyone know why red struts (inverted ver 7 sti struts) made my ride height higher ? Before I had standard crappy struts . Fitted my same dobi super low springs and the front and rear is higher ? Is it because these struts have so much upward pressure that there helping hold the car up ? We put the strut / spring assembly beside each other and the top and bottom hat sat it the same spot ? Should give the same ride height ? Any one else put red struts into GF8 / GC8 and had this hapen

Not entirely sure so don't quote me on this. But I'll drop my 2 cents.

You have a point with weight being the issue. Bear in mind that GD chassis is heavier compared to GC.

Also the rear struts on the GDs are apparently a lot longer than on the GC hence the difference in height.

Yeah springs are captive . I think the higher height is because of the insanely stiffer strut . But the height difference in the rear has me worried . A mate has the red struts in his gc and his sits even in the rear . I think I may have to much grease in the left rear from when I greased them. Or an air lock . I have a solution how ever when its sunny I will try it and let u guys know

I had the same problem with the rear's (only) the Red shocks also come out in Version 6's (maybe 5's too) you can tell the difference by the front brake line clamps (on the actual shock).

I'll add pics of mine later on when I get home. I have the red inverted ones in the front and stock black ones in the rear at the moment which I'm not happy about...!

Could it be that its the old springs on the new struts ? In the weekend ill try fit the sti ver 7 springs and see how it sits . . The left rear is 10mm higher then the right and the front left is 20mm higher than the right ? Seems weird as it use to sit the same height on either side ?

Had a random thought . . . Reckon I need to reset all my bushes ? Because I had my front left lower arm off the other day to replace ball joint and Im pretty sure I didn't set all the bushes again . This could be holding the car up ? In the weekend I will reset all the bushes on each corner and see if it makes a difference . . . By reseting I mean to jack vehicle up . Take wheel off . Undo bush mounts . Jack hub up individually and tighten bush when strut is compressed . . Thus making the bush work in its radius when its at the height it is when the cars on the ground . . . . If you get what I mean . Without resetting bushes the bushes are stretching to work in the radius the arms sit when vehicles on the ground . . . If that makes any sense ? I will reset them in the weekend any way and see if it makes it sit even

So reset all the bushes . . Its had heaps of driving . . . Still sitting high on the left side front and rear ? What can cause this ? Any one know if using different springs can fix this ? Surely its not on the bump stops

Ah yes good point ha ha . But when I do that il still be stuck . Its weird . . With standard struts and my doby super low springs it sat low and even . With the same springs it went allot higher on red struts and un even . . . . . Its really starting to pis me off

Thats why I suggested swapping them over, if the height differences moves as well then it is a spring/strut issue, if the height difference stay as it is then it's a suspension/body issue..... Also compare the left and right struts when they are out, just to make sure the springs are installed the same....

stop messing round with these springs.lol theyl only go so low.get some adjustys and u can set them as high as yu want or low as yu want

i would also suggest this, just as an example, in my courier when it was still on leafs i had them both out one day, put them back in on the wrong sides by mistake, passenger side sat higher, swapped them over and all was well, theory is because fuel tank is on drivers side, and is mostly goin to be driven with just the driver in it that the leaf was set to compensate for that.

Also noticed that when me and my brother put new springs in his civic that they were marked drivers side and passenger side, and drivers side ones were slighty longer

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
