Helmet and Overall's min, make sure battery is secure (held down and Positive + is covered)

good brake pads and fluid is next and your ready to go!

not sure when next "go-fast" opportunity is - there is a Pukehohe Track day coming up if you are in the area

oops appears it is TODAY!

Always plenty of track days happening...Toyspeed, NZ Hondas, GTR-Elite, GP forums, NZPCC, Clubsub + others all host regular track days and welcome other maques to join in on the fun to make up numbers.

what joker said.. and cannot stress the importance of good pads and even better fluids..

im in the hunt for pads at the moment so cannot say much on preference but for best street/trac/price get some motul rfp600 - they are bloody good mate..!!

oh and good tires...lol..

seriously - u can do just soooo much with good tires - i didnt believe it till ran some track days and now am dispensing that myself :)

These guys all have good advice :)

As a side note - Bendix Ultimates have done wonders on my tiny brakes (increased braking power greatly). Remember though, the final braking power comes from your TYRES. Not your BRAKES (which is why Brembos are really just bling and anti-fade material rather than stand-on-nose material).

Adrenalins as tyres seem to be doing a good job as a road tyre. Semi-slicks (or slicks if you are rich/sponsored) are the ultimate however.

OVER FILL YOUR OIL!! The last thing you want is big-end bearing failure.

PS. dont overfill too much bro - in fact i keep it just bang on the full mark or a bees dik lower...lol..

overfilling will smoke the car hard and also can starve the rings as the pickup can get too deep in the oil and not be able to supply much..

the only time u really need to worry oil starvation is if u got really good tires and massive G'z..

for a novice - just do a good oil change and keep at full mark and u should be sweet as...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
