well if u do both combo then u get a really good power, ichi ban's engine got kelford cams and gt28 turbo on a possum link got 250kw on a ver 5/6 sti heads

power fc is good but a newer G3/G4 link is more better and easier to tune by the tuner

hmm yeh but im not planning on going down the g3g4 road.

iwana use my car as a daily.and have good reliable power too.230 isnt to much to ask for,but i need to get the basics first.

i think a power fc and a decnt tune should be able to crack 230,but i dont think my turbo has it in it.

im not too keen on doing cams just yet.would rather go for new turbo.fueling mods and a good tune, then later work into a forged block with cams..

yeh 200 220 stock

im hoping for 230 with support mods

im sure by pbms block should be ok.they said it would be good for around 220 when they built it.but the turbo will be maxed before then anyway.

im hoping the newer style bearings and modded oil pump will help beb not to hapen ether.but only time will tell

correct

ithink a setup including

vf22 vf30 td05 18g-20g-twitsed setup

headers with external port

power fc

rebuilt ej20k

silicone intake with ca

front mount

walbro with mayb a surge setup

that should see a good 220 230 kw imo.

havnt thought bout going for a garret unit.gt30 or so?

lil bit more expenssive, but well worth it in the long run.im sure the v7 engine will help spool it up good.haha

Was almost thinking gt28R so theres minimal lag with good results. but the $$$ for a garett is ^^^^

a 2871r is a good unit, you'd be looking mid 250's with that.

the 3071r with a good measure of boost will see about 300.

a 2876r in my opinion is too unbalanced (in wheel size for ej20 ) and you see a laggy 250-60.

for the $$ in doing the conversion and it is $$$$ maybe staying on a td 18 / 20g / vf based turbo and doing cams is as cost effective as a turbo conversion.

im not sure whats the deal with tmic to fmic and lag

there maybe a slight slight bit

but in all seriousness its more than worth to do the fmic

ps. so pmbs say the vf23 will max out before 220 -

they told me the same as well

not sure why ppl say it will get 230... ???

its mostly not even required, launch control will do the trick if you need to get away smartly - and its not nearly as savage on your exhaust and turbo components.

Not to say we wouldn't like it- its certainly a bawse mod, and wins e-peen fights any day of the week ;D

Hahahaha its got quite bad lag without the anti-lag though, seeing the big rip you out the seat feeling at about 4100

not sure brad proved a few people wrong thoe with his setup.and his af ratio was still mint.

yeh they told me that, considering my turbo has 125thou ks and my motor 15 thou ks,idont think it would be capable of it ne more.mayb when the turbo was new.this the reason being i wana upgrade, and why not when you hava turbo builder on the forums that can make you a custom turbo.lol

Didn't it get fairly well established that the number he pulled was at least somewhat generous on the dyno's behalf?

LOL you guys crack me up

it was "established" was it

I think all you lot need to step back...there is FUCKLOADS of ways to make power and turbo is only the start of it

i ran 200kw on 1 dyno. more mods on a different dyno and got 215.. more work and got 222 on a different dyno.. re did the current mods and got 233 at TP..

All in all its just a number that doesnt mean shit really??

quarter mile times and trap speeds show a fast car and a decent driver

BTW mine was on a fully stock un opened EJ20G !!! YES G - non sti

like i said think outside the sqaure theres alot more to making power than which turbo is strapped on the side

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
