plug on centre consol

just wondering what the lil plug is for on my centre consol its an 02 legacy gtb almost looks like a shaver plug or something

oh ok had a look and didnt find anything else on the topic. So sorry if i sound dumb but whats it for? whys it there?

if it is the one I am thinking of (has 2 pins and some wording) then it can be used for anything that will take a 110v power supply like a laptop/shaver/disco lights

nah it would need a converter unless you have an appliance with a 100volt rating (US appliances)

basically its useless in newzealand because we run on a 230volt system unlike the US who has a 110 volt system.

an adapter may work with certain things but im not sure you would have to try

Yep agreed. You need a US to NZ plug adaptor.

Most laptop power converters run from 100 - 240V

Japanese vehicle adapter would be needed ( and no I dont know where to get one from) The US plugs are equal in pin size,this plug the negative is larger ( we have one in our import hiace )

you could get one of them multi adapters and see if you can get one to fit

Pretty sure an asia to NZ plug will work. A friends import subby has one too. Almost all DC appliances (basically anything that runs on batteries) will run of that. Just check the adapter says 110-240v or something like that.
