Floor Jack Recommendation for low car

Hi all,

Went to change my oil but my floor jack doesn't fit under my front lip of my new car. FFFUUU.

Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation of what floor jack to buy that is low enough profile to fit entirely under a gap that is just over the height of two oil filter boxes (approximately 9cm) and reach all the way under to the front subframe to jack up the car?

On a related note, if anyone in Wellington is interested in a 2.5 Ton regular size floor jack....

drive your front wheels onto some planks of wood? that works for me

just make sure no nails in the wood haha

Yeah this is the backup plan, however my garage is a pain in the ass so I'd rather have a jack that works for it

all of the low floor jacks I have seen are not low over the whole length of the unit : )

Car is stock ride height on stock suspension it's just the lip that's the problem. It will fit under the sides yeah

My mechanic has a Blue-Point (aka Snap-on) one that is about 5 or so cm high. Cost a very pretty penny though.

Snap-on and cheap can never been used in the same sentence/paragraph/book.

Powerbuilt low profile jacks are good. Would fit under my blitzen front bumper.

Any ideas on a jack to get under a 30mm jacking point?

Driving up on to bits of wood take quite some time.

i got one from autolign in petone, aluminium racing jack, its got a steel ram too so it wont crap out like some racing jacks. Trade it was about $250

Is 70mm low enough?

Up to 500mm maximum height. Similar to Debs' one, slightly cheaper.

could just jack up on the tow hooks at front i find that i can use my dads car ramps with my lowerd impressa, but i do have a low profile 3ton car jack which does go under the front lip but becomes annoying to jack car up at the subframe, ie not much travel for the bar that pumps the jack up. the best way as mentioned above would be to use the blocks of wood
