Seeking Wellington mechanic for a subaru legacy cambelt change

Hi there.

I have a 98 legacy with its cambelt due. 2L quad cam twin turbo. B4 manual. Assume the water pump and idles, tensioners etc need to be done and whatever else

Anyone either can recommend the best value for money around the wellington/hutt/kapiti region for a mechanic (ill be honest I aint going to a subaru dealer, id like something not going to cost the earth as this car although I love, its not worth spending the same value of it in a cambelt etc, im sure you get what I mean)

Or is there a mechanic out there who will guarantee their work and wants a cash job? Ill provide the chassis number should someone be interested

Send a PM to Ichi Ban, he's about the best mechanic around and a lot of us Wellingtonians have had him work on our cars, and we are all quite happy with the work he has done for us.

I don't know how much he will charge you, but can only but ask aye?

Unfortunate.

If I may, try Beans auto in lower hutt. I got my b4 done from there and charged me $700 incl belt,tensioner,idler, and labour.
