3rd cylinder injector not working

Today i have installed a TD05 and set of yellow injectors and a chipped ecu to run yellow injectors and a green afm in my BC5 legacy. Car was running fine before i put the ecu and injectors in. now it is bringing up fault code 14 15 16 17. It runs with a miss and if you remove the 3rd cylinder injector plug it does not change how it is running, but makes the car stall if you take any other injector plug off. what could be the cause of this. Maybe a dead injector....

i took it out and put it on the bench and put 12V of voltage through it and it seems to tick fine and spit fuel

on what ecu? has that combo ever worked before?

got a mate who ran yellows on a std v2 for about 3 years, no drama, it will just flow too much fuel but the injector should still work

got the ecu off Cuddas he said it worked fine on his car

Had a leaking one that did this.

Was flooding.....Hard to start when hot too.Disappeared above 1500rpm..But would cause stall if left to idle.

Maybe seals? if injector is ok.

got another injector off a mate with good seals put that in also took the spark plug out and made sure it was dry. the same problem occured. thinking it may be the ecu not working properly or something has fried inside it. any other ideas

does anyone know what the resistance should be for the wire and injector could it maybe a faulty earth

Put multimeter over the injector plug - loom side and see if your getting a pulse - if not - check pulse at ecu plug

But remember un plugging the injector isn't proving the injector isn't firing - its proving that whole cylinder is mis firing - could be broken plug - earthing coil - dead coil - could be lots of things - even could mean the cylinder is dead on compression - worst case scenario really

Have u used a screw driver as a stethoscope to hear if the injector is pulsing ?

no have not done this yet the spark plugs are about 3 months old as well as the new genuine coils i will try this thought how do you check if its pulsing at the ecu

Got a multimeter that can pulse voltage and not just read values ? Put the probes in the loom plug and check if it's getting a signal - if not get a pin out so u know which wires are injector signal and check for pulses At the ecu end

light bulb across injector wires will also let you know if signal is present if you dont have a capture type digital multi meter.

so i got it working it was a small break in the wire but not the problem is the check engine light stays on im going to try and reset the ecu one more time but if this dosent work what could be bringing up the codes

What model is the car ? Should be able to do self diagnostics and pull the codes

the codes are 14 15 16 17 all injector but the car is running fine probably better than it ever has

if the fuse for the injectors are blown none of them will go.

so shouldn't be a fuse problem. check them all anyway

Have u reset the ecu correctly after getting it running cos the ecu stores the code untill reset
