Any Info on NZ New 2.5L Version 10 STi?

As Above, have a mate interested in a 2006 NZ New WRX STi.

Just wondering what is different about the NZ New as opposed to the JDM?

Main difference is in the engine.

The export 2.5L is OK but needs a fair whack of the throttle to get going, then quickly runs of out breath.

The JDM 2.0L has more torque and spins more freely.

Rest of the car basically the same.

nzdm is 2.5l and uses the single scroll turbo, where as the jdm one is 2.0l twin scroll, i've got a v11 jdm sti and i have the admit down low in the revs it does lack the torque of the 2.5l but on the open road its a different story.

i believe only the jdm spec comes out with the defi style speedo cluster until the v11

AFAIK NZDM has big number speedo and no speed limiter.

JDM had the usual 180km/h speedo.

Would it be fair to assume that being a 2.5L, it would be easier to get more power out of it than the 2.0L?

When you say runs out of breath is this due to a smaller turbo?

The 2.0l ones have the dual avcs where I believe the 2.5l nzdm/usdm/ausdm still only have the single avcs, comes down to personal preference really, I like the 2.0l due to having a close to square bore/stroke and higher limiter, the 2.5l is a very big 4cylinder motor but will spool bigger turbos easier. Ultimate setup would be 2.5l block with the jdm heads
