Ideas on how to lower 2db to pass a VTNZ WOF???

As above, the RS failed a VTNZ WOF due to noise (even though it passed at another VTNZ 6months ago)???

The reading was 94db and the law is 92db.

So, any thoughts on the best/cheapest way to lower it so it will pass??? Silencers?

Normally yes.

You could put steel wool up the exhaust, somewhere where it would stay in place

get an extra resonator put in, I went from 2.5 inch down pipe to 3 inch down pipe with an extra resonator (about 500mm long) and its quieter than with the 2.5inch

I have the silencer that came with my exhaust. I\'ve never used it though. What diameter is your exhaust ?

Yip just chcked my pamplet i had when i failed. Pre 2010 is 95db post 2010 is 92 db. So u should be good

It should be taken from the date it was first registered, rather than if you\'ve just got it back on the road.

IF the plates died, and new ones had to be issued?(not sure on that one) but I think maybe your WOF guy is just being a bit of a Prince Albert...

The pamplet will b inside the reception area it will say "so youve failed your warrent for noisy exhaust" has all details in it
