Jdm vs nzdm wrx

Hey guys just wondering whats the difference between th 2 and how close is the Jdm spec to the equivalent sti models in the GC8 platform. Seen alot and read alot but who really knows whats what?

Have been offered a Jdm Wrx for a good price so wanna know if hes not talking smack just to get rid of it

engine wise I think they pretty much the same in a non sti, it just comes down to little things, i.e nz new v5 has 280km/h speedo and no speed cut

NZDM WRX were also were detuned compared to JDM WRX.

155-160kW vs 206kW JDM manual v3

JDM WRX had similar power to a JDM STi but less torque and lower rev limit.

NZ v5 WRX was an international spec, hence big speedo, no speed cut.

STI\'s were more or less same as JDM so 180k speedo and speed limited.

But those 206 KW ratings are at the flywheel as opposed to at the wheels.

from my motor rummaging, nz wrx have tgvs and are non avcs.

mates ver6 "jdm" wrx had yellows,vf29 and went dam well for a non sti, like others said lower rev limit and different interior

this here... I get the nzdm wrxs didnt cop any of the goods so from V1 to 6 how close were the jdm wrxs to the Sti equivalent, same turbos, injectors etc have heard the jdms having vf22s yellows and lower rev limits and differing tunes

Cool, i cant remember where I got it from.. or how reliable it is but has been right against every car i\'ve checked.

Most of those numbers are right except for all the 300\'s.

They should be 276bhp or 280ps.

Yup and the nzdm come with 4pots up front I think. Correct me if I\'m wrong but do the nzdm not get the facelift tail lights too, I\'m thinking the jdm v5/6 have yellow inserts in seats...?

V4,5,6 STI only came with shim under bucket heads with sodium filled valves allowing for the higher rev limit than the non sti equivilent

I have a JDM v5 WRX with the Yellow inserts.
