Considering G3s can be flashed to G4 firmware, and IAT is a pretty important sensor, I\'m going to say yes they do.

But ring Link if you want to be sure. They\'ve always been really helpful to me.

I was told make more power with IAT by having a more comprehensive tune.

No IAT means you have to allow for all conditions and cant have varying conditions based on intake temp. Also means you cant have some extra safeguards in place. For instance IAT goes over a certain temp and my boost cuts at 7 PSI to save the engine.

and to your other question yes some G3s, i think they are the LEM version cant be flashed to g4 easily.

to EVOWRX if you remove MAF - wouldn\'t you WANT to run IAT & MAP... ....??? how else would it work bar the super safe non IAT map which smokes motors real easy.. ask gregooo

Jon you can run the iat which is just 2 wires in the maf so if you have stock loc turbo its easier than shelling out to buy one and welding bung etc. But it is pre turbo but think theres one post turbo on mani isnt there? I meant run the stock one not dont run one.

id hazard to say one in the intake would enable a much more precise measurement of air passing the MAF using temp as a derivative of density, so engine tune is understanding intake better = more fuel efficient factory tune.

IAT post intercooler would give ecu ability to dynamically adjust engine timing closer to the det line. the two cant be transposed in their locations for function.

i would guess.

On the G3 you may need an extended Loom to hook up the IAT.

My tuner was going to plug the IAT into the AFM loom but it didnt work because I was using such an early G4, it was a V1 board. Setting up the IAT is no drama with the exnteded Link Loom however, just a wire from sensor to your ECU.

This g3 has its own link box so doesnt sit in the factory ecu box......just wondering if this changes its ability to run extending wiring from air temp sensor to ecu? Also its a 2004 model and came out September 2004 so dont know how that affects its ability to run on g4 firmware.

Always wondered about heatsoak on the IAT one but mustnt do if dont get it with factory ecu.

I had the expansion lead with mine so no problems didnt need to play with to much.

Avi just ring simon@link with the serial number theyre bloody quick lads down there 2min phone call. You need to go to link now for moar powar?

The Extended Loom plugs into a plug on the circuit board of the Link, If theres no hole to run the loom out of the box just cut one I suppose. Goes without saying probably but don\'t leave the Circut board in while cutting said hole.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
